There are so many things in life that pushed me to love art. If I have to say something which made me decide to learn communication design, it would be the books I loved. 

Double game by Sophie Calle is one of my favorite books. I love how Sophie decided to make her mixture of reality and fiction. What I found the most intriguing thing is that she hired a private detective to follow her and take pictures. Then she had the layout of the photos in a form similar to cine film so that the sense of traveling can be passed to the viewers. I admire the way she arranged the layout of pictures and texts and I find this as a great way to transport information. It adds a lot to the content. However, I believe writing a good book is never just writing the content of it. There’s much more like editing, typesetting, and cover design because all these are essential elements that consisted of completing a good book. In my view, those seemingly trivial elements added to a book are so important that they may weigh more heavily than the content itself. 

Today, as we are likely to search for information online, and a lot of books have an ebook version. Sometimes it seems unnecessary to buy a hard copy. But the charm of physical books is the feeling when we hold them in hands and turn the pages, enjoying the visual quality created by all the texts and pictures. 

I also love to implement my passion for design in my daily life. After learning about design, I get to know things from a different perspective. It’s good to change things a little bit so that they would be more interesting. One thing I would do is to draw on the frames and decorate them. Another thing I like is to paint the walls. Whenever there are some flaws on the wall, I would like to draw some pictures on it. The flaws would then be covered and the wall seems wearing new clothes. 

I’m not an outgoing person and it’s not easy for me to express myself directly. Every Artist may have some sort of “weird” thoughts in their minds, I’d love to develop my own, and show them to the public by my artworks. Art helped me to see myself more clearly. I hope I can keep devoting my passion and love to art, grow and become an outstanding young artist.
